Frequently Asked Questions

How much will it cost me to get rid of my junk?
See our complete price list here.
How do I book an appointment?
Contact us with a description of what you need hauled to the dump. We can schedule an estimate ready for removal on the spot. To be 100% accurate feel free to e-mail us pictures of the job. That way you know what it will cost before booking with us. No surprises!
Do I have to be onsite for a quote/removal?
No. As long as we have a contact number, you don't have to be there. Provided, of course, that the items to be removed are outside. For residential and commercial clients, we will be happy to leave an invoice and you can mail us a cheque. *Unless you’re a contractor/builder, then payment is due in full, on site. No exceptions.
How big is your truck, and how much can you take in one load?
Our garbage truck’s box is 12 feet long by 5 feet high by 7 feet wide, for a total of 15 cubic yards. That's A LOT of junk! Imagine a junk pile the size of an SUV. That’s how much we can take in one load. We use a regular pickup truck for quotes and smaller items.
Do you recycle?
We sure do. Appliances are all taken to a local appliance shop where useable parts are re-used, appliances re-furbished, and scrap taken to a recycling yard via the shop’s haulers. Electronics are taken to whichever depot is closest at the time, paper products are taken to a facility in the Foothills Industrial Area or green community bins for smaller volumes, and unpainted and untreated wood gets taken to a recycling facility in the SE.
What kind of payment do you accept?
We accept, cash, personal and company cheques, and Calgary Junk Removal also has a PayPal account. Receipts provided with all jobs.
Are there any surcharges?
No. There are no hidden fees, everything is clearly explained before anything gets loaded. We recycle all our electronics and appliances, so even the prices quoted for fridges and freezers includes the freon removal charge. Prices for removal of items from basements and inside homes will be clearly explained and agreed upon before anything gets loaded as well.
Is there anything you don't haul?
We can’t take industrial quantities of paints, chemicals or tires and we don’t haul shingles.
